His sire Ovidius was Dutch Champion and competed very successfully in national and international show jumping classes with Peter Gerrink and Wesley Heijdens. Ovidus’s sire, Aldatus Z, unites the genes of some of the best European bloodlines from Alme Z, Ramiro and Cor de la Bryere. Dam sire Heartbreaker, son of the ’legendary’ world-famous stallion Nimmerdor, was among the top five placed horses at the FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horse in Lanaken as a five and six year-old and went on to compete successfully in Grand Prix classes at prestigious shows around the world. Heartbreaker could well turn out to be the stallion who dominates the 21st century competition and breeding scene. He was Horse of the Year in Belgium and still tops the BWP and KWPN show jumping indexes.
Oviedo deserves to be carefully brought on for great things to come and top class sport.
