01.12.2011 Former records broken

The seventh sport horse sales of Holger Hetzel was a great success. All 17 youngsters have found a new owner and were sold for the fantastic amount of 2 Million Euro in total. The average price was 117.000 €- this means it was the most successful auction till now, because last year the average price was 4.000€. The most expensive horse was the seven year old gelding “Mojito”, bought by Jürgen Stenfert (IRL) for 300.000€.
At 5.30 p.m. Carsten Soestmeier and Holger Hetzel presented the auction horses for the last time. The horses were ridden by rider of the stable and commented by the two horsemen. At 9 p.m. auctioneer Volker Raulf went to his auction-desk and opened this year's event.

In order to give potential buyers a little warmup, Holger Hetzel has made a special auction candidate again. And like last year a colt (Numero Uno x Waitaki) was sold for UNESCO- “Education for Children in Need”. The colt was auctioned for an exceptional amount of 14.000€, so Dr. hrs. Ute-Henriette Ohoven was very happy when she received the cheque for the foundation.
In her acceptance speech she said, the money was meant for needy children in Africa, "and this will also save lives”

A lot of famous persons from all over the world attend the auction personally, like Clarissa Crotta, Markus Fuchs, Willi Melliger (SUI), Denis Lynch (IRL) and Mario Stevens.
Two more vicitours have been very successful at this evening- the sponsors of Janne-Frederike Meyer (Gold-medal winner during the WEG 2010 with the team and team European Champion 2011) bought the horses Ready to win and Tinka’s Queen and Chris Kappler (USA, Winner at Olympic Games), got the horse Peter Lustig.
Three horses were bought by people from the Switzerland, two Luxembourg, two Russia and one Turkey.

29.11.2011 A good deed for the heart!

Before the real auction starts tomorrow, we will make a special auction- a good deed for the heart! A promising foal with a brilliant pedigree (Numero Uno x Waitaki) will be auctioned for the foundation UNESCO- “Education for Children in Need”. The money in it’s totality will be donated to the foundation, which has been standing up for poor children since 1992, providing them with school and vocational education for a brighter future.
The check will be received by Ute-Henriette Ohoven. She is only one of the prominent guests who will follow the event live in Goch. All interested people are welcome to visit this exclusive event, which is characterized by the pleasant atmosphere, professional organisation and exceptional horses.

Pictures say more than a thousand words- we are proud to publicise the positive results and pictures of former (auction) horses under the topic references.
Due to the recent event- my 7th sport horse sales, I’m proud to announce that at present former auction horses are competing successfully at National and International Shows for Young Horses Classes, Championships and Grand prix, all around the globe.
I’m sure most of you will have heard the spectacular news about Ludger Beerbaum buying the mare Chiara. As a four year-old she was one of the lots sold at my 3rd sport horse auction, though her name at the time was Cortina.
We’ve put some highlights of former auction horses into a small video-clip. Please have a look and enjoy!

10.10.2011 Auction horses exciting at CSI***

Jumping Princess

Last weekend two auction horses of this years collection competed in the Youngster Tour at CSI*** Wiener Neustadt. Both horses jumped great and showed their exceptional quality:

“Jumping Princess” (Indoctro x Numero Uno) was clear all three days placed sixth in the qualification as well as in the final. The six year old mare was ridden by Christine.

Easy Going

“Easy Going”, seven year old gelding by Sibon, jumped outstanding in all classes. The youngster was clear in both qualifications and also in the final he jumped a double clear in classy style. We were placed in the final and convinced all spectators with his quality.

Both horses are just exciting and I’m very proud for being able to present them in the auction lot!

06.10.2011 Horses selected, videos are ready…

The horses are selected, the videos and pictures for the catalogue/DVD have been made- the auction time can start!
Last week we have made the video clips and pictures of the auction horses for the seventh sport horse sales on my yard.
As usual, we are offering a meticulously selected collection of excellent show jumpers, all of them with extraordinary qualities- this year again 19 high talented youngsters are in the collection.
We have continued to apply the same strict performance orientated principle whilst selecting this year’s remarkable sport horses. Placing particular emphasis on quality, potential, rideability and that something special we have gained through years of experience in the field.
One more important selection criteria was our customers’ requirements, and we have attempted to ensure that the horses in our auction collection reflect these. That’s why we are offering a number of older horses (4-8 year-olds) that are ready to compete at national and international level in this year’s collection. It also includes horses that make the perfect investment.
There are great horses in the spotlight, when the auctioneer gets in action on Wednesday, November 30th, 2011…
I’m looking forward to present you my sensational collection of future super stars within the next days!

08.10.2011 Purchasing a horse as an investment

Purchasing a horse as an investment
The national and international equestrian sport sector
has expanded continuously over the last two decades as
a result of globalisation. In fact, it has evolved from a
sport into a genuine industry: the ‘horse industry’.
No other sector has experienced comparable high rates
of growth and our industry even continued to grow
during the recession.
Around ten years ago, Europe and North America were
the main equestrian sport regions. In recent years, the
sport has also become very popular in the Near East,
Asia, Russia and South America. This has boosted the
demand for horses, especially show jumpers.
At the same time, the main breeding countries of
Germany, the Netherlands and France have recorded
declining breeding rates, which means that there will be
fewer horses on the market in future.
This increase in demand and decline in supply has driven
up prices for professionally schooled show jumpers with
competition experience.
Successful Grand Prix horses are currently selling for
prices up to five million Euros. These horses all began
their careers as novices at the age of 4 to 6 and this
is time to invest. Investors profit from my many years
of experience as an international show jumper and my
international show jumping horse sales network.
“Never lose money”
Currency, stock market and commodity crises and
declining prices are unsettling investors around the
world. In times like these, an investment in a young
horse with great potential is lucrative, comparatively
safe and provides excellent profit opportunities.
The stock market rule of ‘never lose money’ may be
somewhat utopian, but it should be high on your list
of priorities when you’re considering an investment in
a young horse.
Many investors have chosen this option in the past and
the ten most successful of them sold their horses at a
profit of between 20 and 1,000 %.
They purchased the horses at my auctions, left the horses in training and sold them when they had reached
a more advanced level. These horses are now very
successful competition horses with their new owners.
Another important consideration is that this investment
strategy offers the investor tax benefits.
Are you interested?
If you are interested in this kind of an investment, please
contact us to discuss it in more detail. I can advise you
on a suitable horse and a suitable price.
My team and I will continue the horse’s training and
market it for you at a later date. Tel: +49-(0)171-480
8668.
